Dolli's Diner

Dolli’s is a Nac treasure. It’s hard to stand out with standard diner food but Dolli’s easily surpasses the standard. I have yet to order something I didn’t enjoy and the prices have always been more than reasonable. The food is great but the staff is even better. I’ve never had bad service at this place. I can’t recall the waiter’s name I usually get but she’s been there for at least a few years, used to work at Cowboy Jacks when it was open, and she’s the sweetest. She’s got dark hair, glasses, and the best smile. Be prepared to leave her a big tip when you visit because you’re sure to be pleased with her service. Plus while you’re waiting on your food, there’s lots of cool art to look at. I love how it always feels like I’m eating at my eccentric aunt’s house. Its downtown location near the visitor center is perfect because there’s no better restaurant to greet visitors to Nac and townies alike.

Cute diner in a cute town. We came In for sfa showcase Saturday. We had breakfast around 8:30 and got the last table. No wait. Ren was our amazing waiter. Ask for him. He was super attentive and service with a smile.We had a chocolate chip waffle, sausage gravy with biscuits (they were decent) migas (comes with fresh jalapeños) they were amazing, and huveos rancheros 3,5/5 stars on those. Great prices on their food and plenty of options to choose from. We loved Dollis so much we decided to come back for lunch. We ordered the combo appetizer plate, chili, open face turkey and Cesar salad. All amazing. Turkey was not thin and had three thick slices. Chili had great heat and no beans. Portions were huge.

Breakfast here was amazing! Coffee is good and service was great. I'm picky about my breakfast and this place was off the charts tasty. It was like eating farm fresh at grandma's house.

I've been driving through Nacogdoches for years and I finally had the time to stop at this awesome diner. Local artwork is all over the walls from all ages. Check out the hallway to the bathrooms.Elizabeth, the floor manager, was my waitress. She was extremely helpful with the menu and helped me save money. The "Create Your Own" omelette is your best option if you know what you want. Find out these are little more than a four egg omelette and they're whipped up really nice. The hash browns are sliced no more than a quarter inch thick and they're fried to perfection. Great crunch! Sometimes when you order toast it's really thin and flimsy but not here. Thick and hardy. Grateful that omelette sandwich.What other thing I noticed is that the staff usually have a smile on their faces. They also work together like ants - never standing around for more than a minute. They're constantly helping each other out to make sure the customer experience is #1. My coffee never ran dry.I have the chance to talk to the owner, Miss Dollie, and she has a great business model and I had to brag on her staff. This is truly a family-owned and run restaurant.I highly recommend that you make the effort to stop by and enjoy this family environment and awesome food!! If there was six stars I would give it to them.

Nice little very clean place on the square. Server was very friendly and we enjoyed discussing her work on the murals around the square, she is very interesting to chat with. Buffalo Chicken sandwich was very crispy and tasty, as were the home fries (but you have to like home fries over tater tots and regular fries or you won't be happy). Prices were amazing and I can see this place being swamped at breakfast time.

We looked for a simple meal whilst visiting. This place is a living history. Polished checkered floors, displays from a local artist, music playing, regulars coming in for their usuals. Prices frozen in time with large portions. Sweet tea is the perfect amount of sweet on a hot day. The server was lovely and cheerful. They have a good thing going here.

We decided to try Dolly‘s diner because of the great reviews. We knew we hit the jackpot when we walked in. It’s just adorable, reminding one of an old-fashioned diner, and it was obviously popular due to the amount of people. The food is delicious and it offers a great menu to include breakfast anytime. My family loved it and we will return anytime we’re in Nacogdoches.

Service was awesome. Our server, Julia, was phenomenal. She was very attentive and kind. All the food was great (my only critique is the open face turkey sandwich needed something a little sweet like cranberry sauce. I asked for some honey mustard and that did it.) Dessert was awesome. Strawberry cheesecake was so creamy and the vanilla ice cream was so smooth and delicious. And the prices were very reasonable.
